I couldn’t find Carnelian. I mean, usually, it’s there on the shelf; I rarely use it because I have Corriander. I only realized it’s missing when I was packing to stay over at my parents house during the weekend.
I can’t find it.
I did remember one time that I felt like someone came into my room. The door was locked; I usually leave my room unlocked because I will lock the front door. Plus, the door is a pain in the neck to unlock. But when I see Corriander on my desk, I thought that maybe I accidentally locked my room on the way out. Plus, my PSP was still on the table. Maybe that person didn’t know what a PSP is. Like every one else.
Now that I can’t find Carnelian, I’m starting to panic.
I raged a moment and then calmed down. It’ll be worse if Corriander was stolen. All those drawings, pictures and documents which contain everything that I have worked on for the past 2-3 years. If it was wiped out, say by a virus or something, I’d drop down and cry so hard. So, maybe it wasn’t that bad? Carnelian only had 1 year of documents stacked inside it and I’m pretty sure all the study/work related stuff has been transferred.
But then I remembered that all of my raw copies of digital drawings were saved on Carnelian’s HD. I haven’t transferred them out yet.
That reality hit me like a truck.
Now I’m depressed.
Next up: storytelling time. The adventures of Kai overseas in a run-down house during dead winter.
This kitten was found at my lecturer’s windowsill along with another 2 kittens. It was raining one night (yes, it was raining in winter) and she was screaming at me to remove the kittens. One of ’em died before I could do anything. The other one was carried away by it’s mom and this one was freezing to death. Took it in for the night, gave it a shower and forcefed it milk or something. Sylvan and Cyril later lapped up the remaining milk. I called it ‘Point’ because uhh… it has a point pattern. Anyway, Point caused me a few game overs while I played video games as it kept wanting to crawl under the sheets where its warm and fuzzy (refer image above).
Hey, getting game overs when a kitten is distracting me is a very important point. It won’t let me sleep peacefully at night either as it was constantly crying for attention but I’d be lying if I say Point wasn’t cute. Point is cute. So cute that it hurts to turn it back to it’s mom the next day because my landlady was screaming at me to get rid of it and it wasn’t fair for the mom to be separated from it’s sole surviving baby… I guess? But then, Point was kidnapped by the guy next door before it got to reunite with it’s mom. Well, at least Point had a roof above it’s head and food to eat. I heard that the guy next door named it ‘Domino’ and boasted to my lecturer that he saved the kitten from loneliness or neglect or something, I dunno.
Funny how the guy next door can keep a cat when he can’t even keep his mad, raving girlfriend under control and timid little me is not allowed to.
From right: Sylvan and Cyril who drank up the remaining milk because wasting is baaad.
